This is a moment in history and time that will never be recreated. This album was created during a time in music culture where quality mattered.
So much attention was placed on not only the sound recordings, but also the mixing and mastering. The sonics from this project are rare. Songs like Don’t Change Your Mind and Look In The Water, emit a special richness that is audibly present. This is a classic! Having three of the greatest producers of all time on one project is a miracle. Teddy Riley, Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams. This collectors piece also includes four songs I recorded with Aaron Washington. He is a protege of Rodney Jerkins out of New Jersey who still I work with till this day. Those four songs really speak to the continuation of “Mike E.” after my release from Capitol records. There is so much musical history of the 757 (Virginia Beach) embedded in this CD. I could go on forever about the memories and glory days of Future Records Studios. Obviously I can’t do that here but it will all be in my book to be released in 2026.
